Wayne State needed to reposition itself as more than just a commuter school. Located in the heart of Detroit, this historic institution had Ivy League-level programs, a beautiful midtown campus, and a powerful urban mission — but lacked the cohesive brand to tell that story. The challenge was to elevate perception, inspire pride, and put Wayne State back on the map as a top-tier public research university.

We helped launch the “Aim Higher” campaign — a unifying brand platform that celebrated Wayne State’s grit, resilience, and excellence. The campaign projected a refined, elevated tone while staying authentic to Detroit’s blue-collar soul. We showcased the campus as an “urban oasis” in the city’s cultural core and leaned into Wayne’s role in the revival of Midtown. From student recruitment materials to on-campus activations, everything we touched raised the standard.
